YES! We are Ofsted registered! Please see our Ofsted page for more information on what this means and how it might be able to benefit you.

We have students aged 5 – 16 years. Within this range, the full spectrum of capability is covered.

LBD Tuition Centre isn’t just for students who aren’t performing well in Maths and English; we also work with high achievers. Whatever level your child is at, our individualised approach to learning needs will bring out true potential.

Please visit our fees section from the main menu and click on the relevant category.

Let us know as soon as possible. We’ll cancel your child’s tutoring session for that day and schedule a make-up session during the term.

We try to be flexible and accommodating because your child might have other after-school activities that can’t be shifted. Monday to Friday, our centres open after school and run a series of two-hour tutoring sessions. Teaching usually starts at 4:30 but may vary from centre to centre. Let us know the days and times that work best for you. We start tutoring from 4:30 pm on weekdays and 9:30 am on weekends.

Each student attends tuition for 2 hours.

Yes, there’s homework, although it’s not time-consuming. Homework sheets match the topic your child is working on and help new facts and skills to move from short-term memory to long-term memory. For best results, we recommend you encourage your child to complete homework sheets.

The assessment session allows parents and their children to view the centre in action. The session lasts approximately one hour, during which time your child will be introduced to the Stars Learning team and initially assessed for their working levels by one of the tutors. It will also be a chance for you to discuss your child’s requirements in depth and establish your goals in order to enable the team to begin to tailor work.

Yes. The LBD Tuition curriculum is aligned to the National Curriculum. The tutors are trained to teach using Curriculum approved teaching methods to ensure that the children have consistency with how they learn at school. This means that your child can always take the skills that they have learned at LBD Tuition Centre back into the classroom.

At LBD Tuition Centre we work on a ratio of four to one. This means that one tutor works with a maximum of four children who are all working on their own individual programmes. We feel that this creates a good balance of support for the children whilst encouraging them to work independently to help gain confidence back in the classroom.

We offer options of both. Group lessons consist of four students per teacher.

All our tutors are fully qualified to teach the lessons they cover. Some of our tutors are qualified teachers teach at schools and others are trained tutors highly qualified in their field. All tutors receive regular training to ensure top quality teaching is provided to our students.

Every week we set exams for our students which are tailored to include all the topics they have studied in the previous sessions. This continuous assessment ensures your child stays in the right class suited to their level and will allow you to see for yourself the progress they are making. We use progress monitoring book to track student progress.

Each of our tuition centres has first aid trained and fire safety trained. As we are registered with Ofsted we must consistently meet their strict regulations of child well being and health and safety.
