Your child will get an individual assessment usually lasting 2 hours – evaluating their Maths and English (reading, comprehension and spelling & writing). Don’t worry, there’s no pressure and it isn’t conducted in a silent ‘test environment’, so everyone can feel completely at ease. This allows us to establish your child’s strengths, weaknesses and their understanding of the curriculum.

Following the assessment, we will sit down with you, feedback on the outcome of the assessment and create a tailored learning plan for your child to support your child’s progress and help them achieve their goals.

It is also an opportunity for you to mention any objectives you have or any areas of study you want us to focus on. Your child’s tutor will then use the findings from the assessment to create the learning plan that’s right for your child.

Once a bespoke learning plan has been created, your child will be carefully matched with a tutor that suits their specific needs. Our tutors specialise in different age groups and subjects.

Your child will attend 120 minutes tuition sessions on a weekly basis. They will benefit from 1-2-1 tuition within a small focused group of up to 4 students, meaning they will get the attention they need to thrive. Our students enjoy and work better when others around them are motivated and proud of what they are achieving.

Feedback is important. We provide verbal feedback to you at the end of each session. You will be told how your child is progressing so that you can see how close they are to their goal and in which areas they are improving most rapidly. We’ll frequently assess their progress and keep you up to date through their journey to success.
